Early one summer morning a young man carrying a heavy duffel bag emerges from the forest. Entering the little village of Schandelsmillen he asks around for work, but the villagers are not very forthcoming. After meeting the mayor’s daughter and spending a night with her, the villagers’ attitude suddenly changes. He is offered a job and a caravan to live in.
As he is gradually accepted into the community, he catches glimpses of something dark lurking beneath the village’s surface.
When he eventually re-emerges he will have, quite literally, become another person.
