Acapulco, Mexico: 17-year-old Manu is a wealthy, spoilt and wild kid. He is heir apparent to his grandfather Victor Saramanga, absolute patriarch who rules his embattled feudal kingdom ruthlessly, by the ancient and brutal code of the Matador. When Manu’s mother Ethel reveals a surprise marriage with an unconventional charismatic man, Manu promises Victor to get rid of the perceived intruder. But soon Manu finds himself torn between loyalty and obedience to his grandfather, and his growing affection for his new step-father. Manu has to make a deadly decision.
